Attest – Seatouch System

Recently I had the opportunity to visit Attest and check out their latest Seatouch system that has been commissioned for The Beast a 39.5m catamaran being built in Palmerston North by Profab Engineering.

The guys from Attest originally designed and built the Seatouch system when they worked at Alloy Yachts. Once Alloy closed its doors Attest bought the rights to the Seatouch System and have continued to update and refine the system and working closely with and have upgraded many of the existing yachts that already have it fitted over the years at Alloy.

Seatouch is a electronic control system uniting programable logic controllers (PLC’s) with touch screen monitors presenting high value engineering information in a clear and easy to use format. You can monitor anything from engine, pumps fire system to the vessels lighting. Attest can design a system that is completely scalable to what ever vessel size you require.

Because she is a catamaran, the Seatouch system built for The Beast is one of the more complex systems that Attest have designed, because they are effectively doing two boats in one.
